World Resources Forum 2012 (WRF 2012), which is hosted by Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), and the Swiss Academy of Engineering Sciences, was held at the China National Convention Center from October 21-23, 2012 in Beijing, China (http://www.wrf12.org). The theme of WRF 2012 is “Green Economy and Resources”.
The WRF is a science-based platform to exchange knowledge about the economic, political and environmental implications of global resources, and aims to promote the innovation for resource productivity and utilization by building bridges among researchers, policymakers, business and the public (http://www.worldresourcesforum.org).
The WRF is a series of high-profile conferences on global resources issues, formerly known as 3R-Conference (Recovery, Recycling and Re-integration) initiated since 1993 and has been serially held in 1993 (Switzerland), 1995 (Switzerland), 1997 (Switzerland), 1999 (Switzerland), 2000 (Canada), 2002 (Switzerland), 2005 (China) and 2007 (Switzerland). After 2007, 3R-Conference was renamed to the WRF, and has been held in 2009 (Switzerland/Japan) and 2011 (Switzerland).
